A student's full understanding of mini-split systems is increasingly important as economic and climate changes are taking place. The HVAC School has developed and is using a number of successful techniques for teaching the understanding on mini-splits. These techniques can be easily integrated into many current school curriculums. The HVAC School instructors share these techniques which emphasize the technological advances in heat pumps over time leading to current mini-splits. Numerous lab exercises are demonstrated for those instructors that use a hands-on instructional approach. The advantages of inverter technology/fan motors in regard to energy consumption will be presented.
