Many different trades and contractors may be involved in installing ground heat exchangers. This book is intended for those piping, excavating, or HVAC contractors who perform the work of design, layout, and installation of a GHX only. Information is limited to the actual HVAC mechanical portion of a GHP system as it relates to the design and performance of the ground heat exchanger. Individuals reading this book should have a basic understanding of piping systems and excavation.
