Smart Diagnostic Tools: So Easy an Engineer Can Do It!

Presented by:   Christian Valoria, PE    Jamie Kono, PE

Monday, March 20 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, Sonoma Room D

The HVACR Industry is Getting Smarter! Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is helping move the HVACR industry toward using smart diagnostic tools to achieve optimal system performance through the Department of Energy's (DOE) Smart Tools for Efficient HVAC Performance (STEP) Campaign. Instead of simply starting up HVAC equipment and monitoring system operating pressures and temperatures, the STEP Campaign is encouraging a system performance-based approach that provides more advanced diagnostics and streamlined installation, commissioning, and maintenance. At this session, you will hear from engineers at PNNL working on DOE programs focused on smart diagnostic tools and HVACR workforce development, as well as experience hands-on demonstrations from a panel of industry experts showing some of the latest and greatest smart diagnostic tools and applications in action. You might even see proof that smart diagnostic tools are so easy an engineer can use them! To make certain that you get firsthand information on why the industry is pushing for higher equipment efficiency levels and advanced diagnostic tools for HVAC system installation, commissioning, and service, and to learn how you can be on top of this industry trend, you need to join this important session.
