Let Socrates Open the Door
Student learning (Instructors too) is often hampered by preconceived notions, thoughts and actual experiences. Convincing students (instructors too) these experiences, notions and thoughts limit ones ability to expand understanding and knowledge, requires proof.
During this session we will layout several simple classroom examples proving our perceptions often lie to us and create a barrier to learning. Additionally we will provide tried and trued methods to initiate and maintain a "Socratic" approach for the entirety of a program.
