Creating effective tests is one of an instructor’s most demanding, and often stressful, tasks. Conducted by members of the ESCO team, this session will provide you with valuable information that will help you (1) develop tests that measure the effectiveness of your instruction and (2) determine which type of test best matches the desired outcome of the training you delivered.
The team will discuss the good, the bad and the ugly of open-book, closed-book, multiple choice, True/False, fill-in-the-blank, and essay-type examinations. Attendees will receive a jump drive with the power point, notes, and templates for each type of test. Bring your questions about writing effective test questions!
