Helen Walter-Terrinoni
Helen Walter-Terrinoni is the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute "AHRI".
Helen holds a Master's degree in chemical engineering with a concentration in environmental engineering from Syracuse University. She started working for DuPont in 1995 at the DeLisle, Mississippi Titanium Dioxide plant where, in addition to her other responsibilities, she managed the Process Hazards Analysis process. She also managed the highly hazardous reaction and environmental production areas and held various technical, manufacturing and business roles.
Helen also spent seven years managing the fluorochemicals foam expansion agent business and the next generation, low GWP, foam expansion agent development program including the manufacturing plant design. She then managed Chemours Fluorochemicals Global Regulatory Affairs. She is currently a co-chair of the UN Montreal Protocol Foams Technical Options Committee and was the Science Advisor for The Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy (The Alliance), and a member of the Board of the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) as the Chair of the Supplier Division.
Helen's extensive experience in identifying, analyzing and mitigating risk, as well as her knowledge of fluorocarbons, makes her uniquely qualified to support the AHRI Safe Refrigerant Transition Task Force.
